FAQ
FAQs about our Carpet Cleaning Process & Services.
Q. How does your dry cleaning process compare to steam cleaning?
A. Extremely well. Both methods can be very effective as long as the person cleaning your carpet is using quality products, and has been well trained. We have fantastic results. Many of our customers tell us we get out spots that other cleaners have not been able to remove. Feel free to check out our reviews.
Q. What do I need to do to prepare for my carpet cleaning service?
A. Remove breakables, and electronic items from furniture that you want moved during your carpet cleaning appointment. We will take care of most furniture moving, and all of the vacuuming. So put your feet up and relax while we serve you. Items we cannot move: Electronic, and heavy furniture like wall units, and beds. If you would like underneith those areas cleaned please move those items before we arrive.
Q. If you price your services by room, how do I know what you define as a room?
A. We allow a maximum of 300 square feet per room. Living and dining combinations are considered two rooms regardless of size. Leftover square footage may not be applied to additional areas. Small closets are included in the room price. However, walk-in closets, hallways, steps, and bathrooms are additional.
Q. Is the cleaning solution safe for children and pets?
A. Our products are hypoallergenic and once the carpet is dry it is completely safe for children and pets. If you are sensitive to fragrances our sanitizer does have a citrus scent.
Q. How do your products impact the environment?
A. All of our cleaning products are biodegradable. We also use considerably less water than traditional steam cleaning. On average, we will use about 2 gallons of water for 1200 square feet of carpet.
Q. What is the drying time?
A. Drying time for carpet is about 2-4 hours, and about 3-5 hours for upholstery even in cold weather. Adding deodorizers can increase your drying time. Stairs, and heavily soiled carpet may take longer to dry.
Q. What is soil retardant and why is it recommended?
A. New carpet and upholstery have a special coating that helps to keep spills on top of the fabric longer, giving you time to clean the mess. Over time the protective coating wears off. When you clean your carpets and upholstery, any protective coating remaining on the fabric is removed. Soil retardant replaces this protective coating, and will help prolong the life of your carpets, and upholstery.
Soil retardant does not prevent spots. It protects against wear and tear, by preventing dirt from grinding fibers apart. Ground fibers can lead to fraying. Our soil retardant does not contain petroleum, and will not attract soil to the carpet.
Q. How well does your sanitizer work?
A. Our sanitizer kills germs, bacteria, and viruses like covid-19. It also takes care of mold and mildew, cigarette smoke, wet dog odors, and other common odors in the carpet. This is a hospital-grade disinfectant. It is safe for kids and pets once the carpet is completely dry. Note: The sanitizer is not designed to handle heavy pet urine odor problems. However, we have other products that are specifically designed to tackle these types of problems. This product is a required add-on when blood is present in the carpet.
Q. What is the difference between the sanitizer and the pet odor injection?
A. The sanitizer will cover a large area of carpet but does not reach down into the pad. If a pet is consistently hitting a specific area of your carpet there is a greater chance that the urine will penetrate the pad. When this happens we recommend using the injection treatment. It allows us to take the product directly down into the pad where the odor is coming from. Neither the sanitizer nor the injection treatment are designed to remove pet stains. They only treat, and remove odors.
Q. What is the fresh scent that is included in the cleaning service?
A. The fresh scent is typically a citrus orange, but we may occasionally have other options. You can decline the scent if you are sensative to smells.
Q. How is my satisfaction guaranteed?
A. We guarantee our upholstery, carpet, and rug cleaning in 2 different ways. First, if you are not satisfied before we leave your home you do not pay, and second, once you pay for your cleaning you have a 30-day service guarantee. If spots return, or if there is something you just want gone over again for any reason, we will come back, and clean it again at no cost with no questions asked.
Q. Do your cleaners wear covers on their feet?
A. No. Our technicians will not take off their shoes, or wear coverings. This is actually a safety hazard. Protective covers can cause the technician to slip, and injure themselves when the carpet is wet. We also find a lot of things in carpets which occasionally include glass and sharp objects. This policy is in place for the safety of our technicians.
Q. Do you offer after-hours services?
A. If you need after-hours services we may be able to assist you. We offer after-hours services Monday – Sunday. Our after-hours services carry an additional $75.00 service fee. We do not accept discount coupons for after-hours services. After-hour services begin for any appointment after 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm Saturday, and all day Sunday.
Q. Do you provide commercial cleaning services?
A. Yes. For basic cleaning, commercial services start at a price of $0.40 per square foot with a minimum service charge of $175.00 for the basic cleaning.
